The Veterans Project Informational Conference Calls have officially launched. |
|
We had a small but successful call
on Wednesday night with folks eager to start their own clinics in
North Carolina, Colorado and California.
Some important points from the call:
Diana Fried (AWB, Executive Director)
- Recommends consideration of
"mobile clinic sites" as a way to get started even when you don't have
a venue secured. Go wherever you can and treat on-site wherever you
are able as you put feelers out for a more permanent site (unless you
prefer to stay mobile!).
Denise Slavich (Charlotte, NC)
- Recommends also targeting
National Guard, Coast Guard and Reservists; people who did not expect
to be on full-time service duty when they signed up
- Connect with Ombudsman of Vets Associations since they are connected with the families
- Don't forget to "use the press"!
We will periodically hold these Informational Conference Calls to try and accommodate all schedules so
keep an eye out for notices of future dates.
We currently have one more call scheduled on:
