Acupuncturists Without Borders (AWB) is a non-political, non-profit organization that provides acupuncture services to communities around the world impacted by natural disasters, violence and war. This course prepares acupuncturists to provide acupuncture treatment for psycho-physical trauma and stress in their communities. The program is a model for cooperative efforts between medical professionals to promote mutual understanding, co-existence and peace.

The Course Includes:
€ How to treat emotional trauma with the NADA protocol
€ The psychological approach to trauma in Israel
€ Trauma and the 5 element model
€ Trauma and the emotional immune system
€ How to set up a community clinic and work in a team
€ How to work in a disaster situation
€ How to work with severely traumatized communities and individuals
€ Nutrition for treating trauma
€ How to prevent secondary trauma
€ How to recognize and manage acute traumatic stress
€ How to use reflexology and other manual techniques for treating trauma
€ Ethical and safety issues
€ Self-help techniques for trauma survivors
€ Qi gong healing circles- instruction and practice of group healing
€ How to treat trauma with scalp acupuncture
€ Clinical practice of trauma reduction acupuncture protocols

Participation in an AWB training is not solely for the purpose of becoming an AWB volunteer. We welcome all attendees, whether or not you will become or already are an AWB volunteer.

Times: Thursday- Saturday - 9:00 am – 18:00 pm

1225 NIS ($350.00 US) - Early Bird (payment received on or before February 28, 2014)
1295 NIS ($370.00 US) - Regular Rate (payment received between March 1- March 27, 2014)
1400 NIS ($400.00 US) – Full Rate (payment received between March 28 – April 10, 2014)
Space may be limited, so early payment is recommended.

Please Note: In response to requests at recent trainings, participants will now receive a printed copy of the AWB Clinic Field Manual (this was previously only provided electronically,) as well as a more in-depth Training Participant Manual. Together these two documents represent 150 pages of information that is unique and invaluable for implementing mobile field clinics. Current training prices reflect the inclusion of these printed materials as a courtesy to training participants.

Meals and Accomodations:

The Neve- Shalom/ Wahat al-Salam Guest House and Conference Center provides accommodations and meals so that acupuncturists and health professionals attending are able to maintain observance of religious laws if they choose.

NOTICE: Payment for the training does not include accommodation or meals in the Neve-Shalom/Wahat al-Salam guest house. If needed, accommodation registration and payment should be arranged separately with the AWB Israel Team via e-mail:, accommodation requests will not be accepted after 20.03.14.

CANCELLATION POLICY: AWB will grant refunds for cancellations as follows:
75% refunded if you cancel before or on 27/3/14
25% refunded if you cancel after 27/3/14 and on or before 3/4/14
No refund after 3/4/14
