Volunteering with
Acupuncturists Without Borders
Acupuncturists who are interested in
volunteering need to meet specific criteria. Volunteers will treat
people in a community acupuncture setting in conditions that can be
physically and mentally demanding and unusual for those accustomed to a
traditional clinical setting.
We are currently accepting
applications for Haiti volunteers. If you would like to volunteer to go
to Haiti please send an email to acaggianelli@pathwaysboston.org
We expect the Haiti volunteer program to extend over a long period of
time, depending on funding.
For those interested in the Military Stress Recovery (formerly
Veterans) Project please email veterans@acuwithoutborders.org
with your
name and contact information, and whether you are interested in
starting a clinic or joining an existing clinic as a volunteer.
If you are interested in volunteering
with AWB to help with other
tasks, such as phone calling, fund-raising, data entry, or to offer
other skills, please email info@acuwithoutborders.org
We also highly recommend that future
volunteers attend an AWB training and subscribe to AWB's email list at http://acuwithoutborders.org/subscriptions.php
Criteria
- Licensed Acupuncturist - *note we
also accept applications from individuals who are ADS certified or who
may be interested in volunteering as support personnel.
