When you join AWB, you directly contribute to a range of crucial projects including:

Supporting people in complex humanitarian situations as a result of poverty, disasters and violence, forcing many to seek asylum:

• Ongoing weekly clinics with the Parteras midwifery group in Tijuana to provide integrative reproductive healthcare for migrating people seeking asylum from poverty, disasters, and violence;
• Continued support for practitioners in Haiti who are providing community care in extremely challenging conditions;
• Bi-monthly clinics with Colectivo CARE, a three-year-old collaborative project dedicated to offering trauma-informed care to thousands of Central California farmworkers and their families.

Supporting people who have been significantly affected by war and human conflict: 

• Providing practitioner training in the EU and UK to serve displaced persons from Africa, Eastern Europe, Ukraine and the Middle East;
• Material support for acupuncturists in Ukraine who provide treatment for soldiers and veterans grappling with physical and emotional war-related injuries;
• Ongoing trainings for Palestinian practitioners seeking to address high levels of trauma in their communities;
• Material support for trauma-informed community care provided by Alma Community Holistic Therapies (Greece) and AWB Israel (both are now autonomous NGOs); 
• Support for veterans, active duty military, and their families in AWB-affiliated clinics in the United States. 

Supporting people who continue to be adversely affected by natural disasters: 

• Mobile clinics and support for communities in Puerto Rico still dealing with the impacts of past hurricanes and earthquakes;
• Recent trauma relief projects across the US, including support for clinics in Maui (post-Lahaina wildfire) and in Florida after Hurricane Ian.
